When you buy a guitar through Second Riff, we’ll work with you and the seller to arrange the best delivery option. This might include:

• Local Pickup (Free): If you’re in the Brisbane area (or the seller’s location), you can often arrange to pick up the guitar directly. This is usually the fastest and cheapest option.
• Meetup (if possible): The buyer and the seller can meet.
• Seller-Arranged Shipping: Many sellers are happy to pack and ship guitars. You’ll agree on the shipping method and cost before you finalise the purchase. We recommend using a tracked and insured service.
• Buyer-Arranged Shipping: You can arrange your own shipping through a courier of your choice. This gives you full control over the process.
• Second Riff Arranged Shipping: We can help to find the best shipping.

Important: Shipping costs and arrangements are typically agreed upon between the buyer and seller before the sale is finalised. Always use a secure payment method, and be sure to discuss insurance and tracking.

Selling a Guitar

Selling your guitar directly to us.

• Contact Us: Send a message with your guitar’s details, including brand, model, condition, and photos.
• Valuation: Based on your description, we’ll offer a fair price, subject to inspection.
• Collection/Drop-Off: We arrange pickup or you can drop it off at our Brisbane location.
• Inspection & Payment: Once inspected and confirmed, we’ll pay you instantly via your preferred method.

Selling Your Guitar on Consignment

How it Works:

1. Contact Us: Get in touch via WhatsApp or our contact form with details and photos of your guitar.
2. Agreement: We’ll discuss your asking price, our commission (a percentage of the final sale price), and the terms of the consignment agreement.
3. Listing: We’ll professionally photograph and list your guitar on the Second Riff website and potentially other platforms (e.g., social media, online marketplaces). We’ll handle all enquiries from potential buyers.
4. Sale & Payment: Once your guitar sells, we’ll handle the transaction securely and pay you the agreed-upon amount (minus our commission) promptly.
